Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Global Implications Of Sharia Law

I started doing some research into Sharia Law when I discovered the book titles, "Cruel and usual Punishment: The Global Implications of Sharia Law" by Nonie Darwish. Intrigued by the title I bought it and read it.

Ms. Darwish takes you into the world of Sharia Law and it's impact on the countries it governs. Based on her personal life experiences growing up under Sharia Law she pulls no punches. She tells about Sharia in explicit detail and the mental, spiritual and political effect it has on its citizens. It really opens your eyes to what exactly Sharia Law is. It's not just a law, it's a way of life for muslim citizens living in those countries governed by Sharia. Ms. Darwish goes into very detailed explanations of the various aspects of Sharia Law, including the schooling, the dress code, marriage, women and jihad to name several. It is a very enlightening and sobering look into a society whose every action is governed by Sharia and the clerics that rule. I would recommend it for a book club with a PG13 rating, as some of the content, although tastefully done, may be too much for a younger or less mature mind to absorb.

This is a must read for anyone who wants to educate themselves on Sharia Law and get a glimpse behind the scenes of life behind the curtain of Sharia. Especially the Western world.

Woolite Rug Stick

This is an awesome product. It actually does what it says it will do. I really like it better than ordinary carpet and upholstery foams. The foam dispenses evenly over the carpet and the brush really works it into the carpet fibers. It dries nicely and leaves a clean scent. It's a must have for for those traffic areas and for that unforseen spill or spot.

It leaves the carpet looking refreshed without any type of sticky build up that other foams can leave. It is very simple to use and does not require electricity or batteries. It is very simple to put together. It took me all of five minutes from start to finish. I am definitely going to use this product for future clean ups. KUDOS to Woolite!!!!!!!!!!! Great product!!!

Starbucks vs. McDonalds

Let me start by saying that I am an avid Starbucks lover. In my opinion they have the best coffee ever. Their Frapuccinos and Lattes rock and so do their teas. Their pastries and cookies look like something you would see in a magazine or a very fine dining restaurant, and they taste as good as they look.

Now, on the flipside, McDonald's. McDonald's is best known for their hamburgers and fries. No doubt, they taste good.

Unfortunately, the nearest Starbucks is about 40 miles away from me, so I don't get to go as often as I would like to. About 2 weeks ago my husband went to McDonald's to get some food and he brought me back a cappuccino from Mcdonald's. It is my usual experience that whenever it is not from Starbucks it does nto taste good. Well, when I tried that cappuccino from McDonald's I was pleasantly surprised. You could actually taste the flavor of the coffee!!!!! I told my husband that for amateurs in this field it was not half bad. Starbucks is still the best by far, but, if you don't have a Starbucks nearby, then take a walk or ride to your nearest Mcdonald's and try one on for size.

Why does everything have to be so complicated

Man, I wish things weren't so complicated. Trying to set this stuff up can really stress one out. I wish I had the answer on how to simplify stuff. I could really generate some traffic and income on that one. Oh well, such is life. Back to the drawing board.
